Philippe Scrive

Born 17th August 1927 in Ville-Marie, Temiscamingue, province of Quebec Canada, Philippe Scrive now lives and works, since 1960, in Fontenay-aux-Roses (Haute de Seine) .

Born 17th August 1927 in Ville-Marie, Temiscamingue, province of Quebec Canada, Philippe Scrive now lives and works, since 1960, in Fontenay-aux-Roses (Haute de Seine) .
After two years of study at the Beaux-Arts of Québec, from 1944 to 1946, he joins l’Ecole National Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Paris, until 1952 and never leaves  France devoting all his life to sculpture. His work consists mostly of a large number of monumental works alongside which he has done numerous different styles of sculpture made for exhibitions and sales.
In 1968 he obtains a grant "du Conseil des Arts" of Canada and undertakes study trips to Greece, Spain and the United States.
His works have been compensated by different prizes :
1952, 1st prize monuments aux Etudiants Résistants
         1st Prize des Vikings 
1972, 1st prize for Young Sculpture
1975, 1st prize and realisation for a monumental fountain in front of the Mairie of  Montreuil-sous-Bois
2008, Grand prize of the Institute of France, Foundation del Duca
